Granada Red Resort Hotel Ventilation Project
Project Description:
As part of the Granada Hotel Group's new project, Granada Red Resort Hotel, I played a key role in designing and overseeing the implementation of the ventilation system. The project included climate control units (AHUs), kitchen stainless steel ducts insulated to meet relevant standards, and fire and smoke exhaust fans and ducts designed in compliance with fire safety regulations. Additionally, stairwell pressurization ducts were incorporated into the system.
Each specific area and room was carefully planned with customized grilles and diffusers to optimize air distribution. From the initial design phase to final delivery, I actively managed and provided guidance throughout the project, ensuring compliance with engineering and regulatory standards.
Scope of Work:
- Installation of air handling units (AHUs) and insulated stainless steel ducts in compliance with hygiene and fire safety standards.
- Design and integration of fire and smoke exhaust fans and ducts per fire regulations.
- Implementation of stairwell pressurization duct systems.
- Placement of specialized grilles and diffusers for different zones and rooms.
- Continuous collaboration with the site supervisor to develop alternative solutions for specific scenarios.
- Regular communication with the client to align project goals and expectations.
Project Management & Execution:
- Supervised procurement and purchasing processes, coordinating with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Managed the logistics from supply chains to on-site installation by directing personnel for efficient assembly.
- Developed payment and work progress tracking spreadsheets based on work completion, given the ongoing construction and milestone-based payment system.
- Maintained an active role from project inception to final handover, leading the process over approximately eight months.
This project exemplifies my expertise in HVAC system design, project coordination, and hands-on management in large-scale hospitality construction projects.
